A few AJAX-based language tools

I used the following sites pretty often. They all happen to be language tools based on AJAX.

Spell Checker: It works very similarly to the spell checking from GMail, but you can use it any time and do not have to login. Its source code is available under BSD.

ObjectGraph Dictionary: Yes. It does not know the programming language Java :)

SevenForks Chinese Input: This is a killer. I do not have to install any software to input Chinese characters. That is a perfect tool especially when I use public computer to quickly input some Chinese.

Flash Lite Capabilities Database

Weatherpixie

The WeatherPixie

Hecl scripting language

Thanks to the author, David Welton, who sent me this link. I put it in my J2ME open source software directory - scripting category.

The Hecl Programming Language is a high-level scripting language implemented in Java.

Hecl is also a small language with a minimal core. The idea is to provide only what’s necessary in the language itself, and as needed, add in extensions for specific tasks. Core Hecl is small enough to run on my Nokia 3100 cell phone as a J2ME application, presenting the interesting possibility of writing scripts, or at some point, maybe even scripting entire applications, for devices running embedded Java.

mologogo: free GPS tracking on iDEN phone

Mologogo is a free service that will track a “friends” GPS enabled cell phone from another phone(gps not required) or on the web. Mologogo also serves as a dirt-cheap tracking system, so go ahead and fauxjack something.

It currently works on pretty much any Nextel phone with Java and GPS - even a $60 no-contract Boost Mobile phone.
