Apparently there is a CDC plugin for Eclipse from Sony Ericsson:

The Sony Ericsson CDC Packaging Plug-in is a basic Eclipse plug-in that simplifies development and packaging of CDC applications for Sony Ericsson phones supporting Java ME CDC. The project is provided under EPL and is actively seeking contributors.

Eclipse eRCP and Netbeans CDC

I read this interesting story about Swing and SWT a few days ago. But the IBM/SUN story does not end with destop Java UI. Same thing happens for the mobile world. While Netbeans is working on the Mobility Pack for CDC, Eclipse and Nokia are working on the eRCP Project. Devices like Nokia Series 80 will support both. I guess it is a good thing for developers and manufacturers to have more choices.
