I got an email from Daniel Goldman about the link of Opera Mini and Wii Remote:
… the picture of the Wii remote actually did offer a clue. The zoom and thumbnail view features that came with the new Opera Mini beta were first seen on the Wii Opera-powered browser.
There are only two days left to get a free copy of Opera on Wii. I installed it today so next time when I read my bloglines at home I might just lay on the couch
He is also kind enough to email me the WordPress error log when he tried to post comments on my blog. This is not the first time it happens. It seems that there was some MySQL connection problem. I will have to consult with my host company (GoDaddy) about that.
Mogoso allows you to research a product and get reviews from your mobile phone. The interface is nice and clean.
Example: Maybe that movie “The Ice Storm” is your kind of thing, but you’re not sure. Via your phone, just go to www.mogoso.com, search for ” The Ice Storm” (or its UPC code ” 024543012245″), and there you go! On top of that you get its price on Amazon.
Mogoso is from an independent software developer. Actually Amazon is one of the earliest shops that offer a mobile site. From Java ME handsets, you may also try to use this Bluepulse widget or a standalone Java application Amazon-OnTheGo.
Allaboutsymbian.com published part 1 of the RIZR Z8 review. This phone from Motorola is particularly interesting for two reasons:
(1) It is the first UIQ (UIQ 3.1/Symbian 9.2) phone without a touchscreen. Its form factor is very much close to S60 handsets.
(2) It is the first Symbian OS phone from Motorola since A1010 in 2005.
Since Motorola sold out its Symbian share to Nokia in 2003, many people believe Motorola will fade out its Symbian lines and focused on its Java-on-Linux strategy. (Linux does not mean more-open.)
In other news, S60 will support touchscreen in future version.
I played with it a little bit on a FOMA handset. I am not sure if it is the FOMA 904i mentioned in this article. Those games could be very addictive like Nintendo Wii games - I am working on the Call of Duty 3 (Wii) by the way
FOMA is the not very known sibling of UIQ and S60, which is another UI package on top of Symbian OS.
