Jobs: “Java’s not worth building in. Nobody uses Java anymore. It’s this big heavyweight ball and chain.”
Markoff: “Flash?”
Jobs: “Well, you might see that.”
Does this “nobody uses Java anymore” only refer to Mac OS X?
iPhone might not need Java on it to make it successful. But Mr. Jobs seems to be completely ignoring the pervasiveness and success of Java ME on mobile phones.
