N810 screenshots - Java, Youtube, RSS Reader and Chinese font
(Click for full size)

Although Java is not preloaded on Nokia N810, the installation is very straightforward. Detailed instructions can be found at Jayson Falkner’s Blog and Nokia Wiki.

YouTube via Firefox can go full screen, which is really nice. If this video does not look familiar to you, I encourage you to take a look.

Like S60 browser, from Firefox on Maemo, you can add RSS feed link directly to RSS Reader.

Chinese font installation is very easy too. You only need to install the Chinese support package from installable application list. you will get Chinese font and Chinese input (Pin Yin in case of Simplified Chinese).
Screenshots were taken using load-applet.

dude, where is that chinese support package? It’s not in the “intallable application list”. Did you download it from somewhere else?
Unfortunately the “installable application list” depends on the firmware version. Each time you upgrade the firmware you will notice that list shrinks significantly (initially).
I just tried Maemo CJK and it worked for me:
